Jonathan Sozek

I teach philosophy and the history of religion at Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, CT. I also serve as chair of the Department of Philosophy and Religion, coordinate the College’s Humanities Program, and direct the Aquinas Scholars Program.

My research focuses on philosophies of personal identity, artificial intelligence, the tradition of the liberal arts, the history of the study of religion, and theories of secularization. I hold degrees in related fields from Sarah Lawrence College, McGill University, the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, and Brown University.

I’ve been building a YouTube channel called Threadways and an associated community on Substack, exploring themes in philosophy, religion, and culture.
